On Friday 3rd February our friends at the school successfully completed a World Record attempt of the 'Longest Team Bounce'

The official World Record for the “Longest Team Bounce” is 43 hours. It was calculated that if each of our friends bounced for between 5 and 15 minutes (age dependent) they would achieve an amazing 48 hours. The length of time that was actually achieved was 48 hours and 20 minutes.

Unfortunately due to all of our friends being under the age of 18 the record cannot be recognized officially, however an “Unofficial” World Record was still a fantastic achievement.

Record attempt day commenced at 9.30am using two bouncy castles that had were used simultaneously. Each of our friends bounced at an allotted time for a specified duration with the last team finishing at 4.30pm

Once all of our friends had bounced, the school was presented with a Certificate of Achievement by Patricia Allen, Mayor of Amesbury, with the youngest and oldest of our friends, Flynn Stares and Cory Cerqua receiving the certificate on behalf of the school

During the day were supported by Christ the King Primary School PTA, Popup Soft Play and A.M. Inflatables who donated the use of their bouncy castles, Sports students from Avon Valley College students: Jasmin Edwards, Emilie Henderson, Jasmine Spencer, Rosie Read and Grace Swain who acted as timekeepers, Teachers, and friends and family who came to support our friends in their World Record attempt

Although sponsorship was not a condition of our friends taking part in the World Record attempt we encouraged our friends to collect sponsorship money. The money raised from this event will be used to provide Performing Arts equipment as decided upon by the students including a karaoke machine and new curtains for the school stage.
