Christ the King Catholic Primary School Let the love of God shine through us by smiling and being gentle

School Hours and School Uniform

School Hours

The school day begins at 8.45am and finishes at 3.15pm.  The hours spent teaching each week for juniors is 23 hours and 30 minutes and for infants is 21 hours.

There is a teacher on duty in the playground each day from 8.35am. Teachers will then collect their own classes from the playground at 8.45am. Lunch is from 12noon to 1pm.

In the mornings, the children come in to school to do their jobs (e.g. put their lunchbox, reading folder and water bottle away.) They then should go back outside onto the playground so they are ready to meet their teacher on the circle. We appreciate that it is sometimes a little cold and damp so please ensure that your child is wearing suitable clothes for the weather e.g. coat, hat, gloves, scarf. If the weather is too wet or icy, we do invite you to come into your child’s classroom with them and share a book peacefully until their teacher arrives.
